  1. Take a clean, non-stretch shoelace or string. Have a household measuring tape or ruler ready.
  2. Wrap it where the collar sits. Keep two fingers underneath while marking the overlap; do not tie a knot.
  3. Remove it. Lay the same measured section straight without stretching.
  4. Align the start of that measured section with 0. Read the inch scale at your overlap mark. If you marked both ends of the section, align the first mark with 0.
  5. Enter your own measurement below. Your two-finger allowance is already included: do not add extra inches.

AROUND THE NECK

Let your dog stand comfortably. Wrap a flexible sewing tape around the middle of the neck, where the collar sits. Slide two fingers underneath. Keep it snug over your fingers, without squeezing.

Keep those two fingers in place when you read or mark. This is BMD’s two-finger measurement. Do not add another 1–2 inches afterward.

Cuban buckle collars

Regular Cuban collars use fixed size labels from 16 to 28 inches, in 2-inch steps.

Use BMD’s two-finger rule: choose that size if it is offered, or the next larger offered size. Don’t round down and don’t add another 1–2 inches. If the measurement is outside the family’s range, or your dog has a slim head and the collar could slip off, ask us before ordering.

Run a flexible tape around the inside—not the outside of the links. The red line shows the concept, not a measured dimension.

Open length is a different measurement. If you lay the collar open and measure end to end, include the clasp and call it “open length.” Clasp parts can overlap when closed. Keep that number separate from your dog’s neck measurement.

HOW TO MEASURE

For Cuban collars with a buckle, wrap a cloth measuring tape around the middle of your dog’s neck with two fingers under the tape and record that measurement. Do not add another 1-2 inches after measuring with two fingers.

If you do not have a flexible measuring tape, use string in the same position with two fingers under it, mark where the ends meet, then lay it against a ruler.

Choose the measured size if it is offered, or the next available even size shown on that product. For regular Cuban collars, examples are 17 inches to 18 inches and 19 inches to 20 inches. Tiny Cuban collars have their own 12, 14 and 16-inch range: examples are 13 inches to 14 inches and 15 inches to 16 inches. Do not choose an 18 or 20-inch size for Tiny.

If your measurement is outside the sizes offered on the product, or you are unsure about fit, contact us before ordering. In particular, a Tiny measurement over 16 inches needs help choosing a different product rather than rounding down. Read the full measuring guide.

32mm Cuban Collar Lifetime Warranty

Lifetime manufacturing-defect warranty applies strictly to 32mm Cuban Collection collars only. It excludes scratches, chips, nicks, discoloration and excessive abuse, including stress tests, torture tests and abnormal wear.

Email BMD@badmofodog.com for instructions and pay inbound shipping. We inspect the collar; a qualifying defect replacement is approved as soon as possible. Delivery varies with inventory.

This lifetime warranty is separate from the ordinary refund/exchange seven-BUSINESS-day ship-back deadline. See the full warranty terms.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

For website refunds and exchanges, ship the item back within 7 BUSINESS days after tracking-confirmed delivery to you. This is a ship-by deadline, not a deadline for BMD to receive it. Email first for authorization; authorization does not extend the deadline. Business days are Monday–Friday, excluding holidays.

For website size exchanges, items must be brand-new, unworn, unaltered, unwashed, hair-free and undamaged. For exchanges, including size exchanges, securely rewrap the item in plastic wrap (Saran Wrap) or bubble wrap before shipping to protect its condition. Original wrapping is not required for an exchange. The separate color-change restriction below still applies. Color-change exchanges cannot be processed after original packaging is opened.

Email bmd@badmofodog.com first for authorization. You pay return shipping by USPS Priority Mail BOX. Include your name, email, order number and requested size. After the return is received and the replacement is ready, we invoice replacement shipping. Do not buy that outbound label; pay our invoice.

Refund returns must be unopened, unworn and undamaged. For a refund, return the item in the same condition received, with the original shipping packaging and wrapping intact. The chain must never have been unwrapped; its original plastic must remain fully sealed. You pay USPS Priority Mail return shipping and include contact details, order number and return reason. Original shipping is non-refundable, subject to mandatory legal rights. Orders including giveaway entries or promotional items are not eligible for refunds.

Allow 1–14 BUSINESS days after receipt for inspection/processing, then an email update. See the Refund Policy for deadlines, exclusions, cancellation and full terms. Defective-item and mandatory legal protections remain. TikTok Shop orders follow its platform process.
